Liverpool – Music

Cavern Club

Famously known as the birthplace of The Beatles and the cradle of British pop music. The modern club includes three live music venues – Cavern Club, Cavern Live Lounge and the Cavern Pub, each featuring new and up and coming artists from Liverpool, the United Kingdom and across Europe. Special events are held regularly, including International Beatleweek.

Arts Club

The Arts Club is a casual venue playing host to a variety of vibrant gigs and club nights in their basement venue. A wide array of events can be found on their website – it should be noted that events sell out often and quickly. The ground floor consists of a bar and restaurant, with the basement playing host to regular live music gigs.

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

A concert hall located on Hope Street, it is the home of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society. The original building was designed in 1844 but was destroyed by fire in 1933, with the present hall opening in 1939. It is used to stage more than 250 events each year, of which more than 60 are classical music concerts. The venue has a capacity for up to 1,700 people with smaller rooms also available. In addition to music, the venue plays host to comedians, film screenings and more. Tours are also available when booked in advance.
